Summer Session


Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore offers a summer session for students wanting to make the most of a summer in Italy while receiving credits for courses in a variety of topics. Students can take courses in business; media and communications; or Italian language and culture on the Milan campus. Agribusiness and food science courses are offered on the Piacenza campus.

ISEP-Direct Summer for all ISEP member students


Students will be able to choose from the following different areas listed below and combine them to create either a 4 week program or a 6 week program.

Session A:

Arts and Archeology (Rome Campus): Discovering Ancient Rome

Session B:

Business (Milan Campus) : Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship
Media and Communications (Milan Campus): New Frontiers in Brand Communication and Consumer Engagement
Cultural Studies (Milan Campus): Italian Cuisine History and Cooking Lab: A first step to becoming an Italian MasterChef
Agribusiness and Food Sciences (Piacenza Campus): The Global Wine Market: Trends and Strategies
Arts and Archeology (Rome Campus): Discovering Ancient Rome

Session C:

Business (Milan Campus): Social and Eco Entrepreneurship in Italy OR The fashion Market: Structure, Players, and success factors
Media and Communications (Milan Campus): Mass communication and Media Industries: The Italian Style in producing and managing TV, Ads and Music
Cultural Studies (Milan Campus): A Mafia Story: Its Representation in Literature, Cinema and Television Agribusiness and Food Sciences (Piacenza Campus): Food Production

Session D:

Business (Milan Campus): Entrepreneurial Finance
Media and Communications (Milan Campus): Sustainable Food and Green Communication: a New Marketing Perspective

Please note: Students can select only one course per session. All students have the option to add the Survival Italian Language Course to their selected program.

Contact hours & credits:

    • Each 2 week session: Monday to Friday / 45 contact hour per session / 3 US credits each course


Undergraduate and graduate students who have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies are eligible.

International students who are non-native speakers of English must submit a minimum TOEFL score of 80 iBT or an IELTS score of 6.


Session A: May 31 – June 10, 2016 Session B: June 14 – 24, 2016

Students live in shared apartments off campus. Meals are not included, but Milan has many fine cafés and restaurants.


In addition to the courses, students will have the option to join extra-curricular activities, and trips to various Italian regions.
