SUMMER SNAPSHOT

Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore offers a summer session for students wanting to make the most of a summer in Italy while receiving credits for courses in a variety of topics. Students can take courses in business; media and communications; or Italian language and culture on the Milan campus. Agribusiness and food science courses are offered on the Piacenza campus.

Session A: June 16 - June 27

Business (Milan Campus) : Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship: The Italian Perspective
Media and Communications (Milan Campus): New Frontiers in Brand Communication and Consumer Engagement
Italian Language and Culture (Milan Campus): Beginner Italian
Agribusiness and Food Sciences (Piacenza Campus): Food Production

Session B: June 30 - July 11

Business (Milan Campus): Social and Eco Entrepreneurship in Italy
Media and Communications (Milan Campus): From Taste to Glamour: Luxury Goods and Fashion Brandsin a Visual Culture
Italian Language and Culture (Milan Campus): Lower Intermediate Italian
Agribusiness and Food Sciences (Piacenza Campus): Food Safety

Session C: July 14 - July 25

Business (Milan Campus): The Luxury Market: Structure, Players and Success Factors
Media and Communications (Milan Campus): Television, Advertising, and Music: the Italian approach to the Media
Italian Language and Culture (Milan Campus): Intermediate Italian
Agribusiness and Food Sciences (Piacenza Campus): The Global Wine Market: Trends and Strategies

Please note: Students can select only one course per session. All students have the option to add the Survival Italian Language Course to their selected program (Milan campus only).

Contact hours & credits:

    • Each 2 week session: Monday to Friday / 44 contact hour per session / 3 US credits each course
    • Extra/optional Survival Italian Language Course: 20 contact hour per session / non credit-bearing

SPECIAL ACADEMIC CONDITIONS

Undergraduate and graduate students who have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies are eligible.

International students who are non-native speakers of English must submit a minimum TOEFL score of 80 iBT or an IELTS score of 6.

Includes tuition and housing.

HOUSING AND MEALS

Students live in shared apartments off campus. Meals are not included, but Milan has many fine cafés and restaurants.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES

In addition to the courses, students will have the option to join extra-curricular activities, and trips to various Italian regions.
