ISEP-Direct Australia 2008-2009

As an ISEP student, you will attend lectures, participate in class discussions, and do the same work as Australian students; experience and adapt to daily life in your host country; learn how people from Australia and other cultures approach the problems in your field and think about the issues that they—and you—will face in the future.

The ISEP Australia-Direct Program provides students access to affordable programs in one of the world's most popular study abroad destinations.

How to Apply
ISEP makes placements for ISEP Australia-Direct programs that begin in the fall during the preceding spring. Placements for programs that begin in the spring semester are made in the fall. Placements continue to be made as long as sufficient processing time remains before the beginning of a program. The Australia-Direct program application is available online.

Please note that Australia observes the Southern Hemisphere academic calendar. Consider starting your program during the U.S. second term, especially if you want to study for a full-year in Australia. There are a number of advantages to starting your program during the U.S. second term. First, in the Southern Hemisphere, the academic year begins in February or March. Second, some of these institutions offer annual as opposed to semester courses. Third, for academic year programs in Australia, ISEP benefits do apply during the recess between semesters (June-July), whereas they do not apply between the end of one academic year and the beginning of a new academic year (December to February-March).

2008-2009 ISEP Australia-Direct Program Fees
The ISEP Australia-Direct fees listed below include tuition and accommodation at the host university (excluding laboratory fees). Some ISEP Australia-Direct institutions offer more than one fee based on different housing arrangements (single-occupancy, double-occupancy, or tuition-only). Not all housing options are available at all institutions. Fees do not include the non-refundable application fee, travel costs, meals, passport and visa fees, and personal expenses.

Please note: In order to hold your ISEP-Direct placement, a $500 non-refundable program deposit is due within three weeks of your placement confirmation notice (PPAF), which you will receive from your ISEP Coordinator. The $500 deposit will be applied to the full program fee.
