Once accepted to an ISEP program, you will receive an “Institutional
Information Sheet” which will give you more guidance
about requirements, local costs, and spending money estimates for the
host site.
In the planning stages, please consider the following costs for studying
abroad that you may incur:
- additional administrative fees charged by your home institution
- lab fees or special course fees
- programs such as language courses and optional excursions not included in Benefits
- ISEP health insurance (required; approximately $53/month)
- travel (airfare abroad; train/bus/cab within host country to university)
- local daily transportation
- books and supplies
- fees for passport and visas
- the cost of meals during the semester break only for students on year-long programs
- refundable housing and utility deposits; optional fees for apartment services such as phone or internet
- accessories for housing if not provided (linens, kitchen supplies)
- pocket money (varies on local cost of living, how much you plan to go out, and whether you plan to travel)
