This section combines information included on the Participant Profile form and the Participant Placement Acceptance Form. Please read it carefully. By signing these forms, you have agreed to the following conditions.
ONCE YOU APPLY TO ISEP
You Agree To:
- Submit the required documents and authorize the ISEP coordinator at your home institution to send your official academic records/transcripts to ISEP.
- Pay the required placement fee.
- Authorize ISEP to send a copy of all your documents to ISEP coordinators at prospective host institutions.
- Notify your home ISEP coordinator immediately if you no longer wish to be considered for an ISEP placement.
IF YOU ACCEPT PLACEMENT
You Agree That:
- You will pay to your home institution the designated placement fee and a program fee covering the full period of your placement.
- You will purchase insurance coverage as required by ISEP.
- You will take part in all aspects of the program, including orientation and evaluation.
- You will have the status of non-degree student at your host institution unless you have applied for and been accepted to a degree program
- You will abide by any additional conditions listed on the Institutional Information Sheet of your host institution and the Participant Placement Acceptance Form.
- Your placement will be limited to the period specified. An application for extension must be made in writing and is subject to review and approval by your home and host institutions and ISEP.
- You will complete an ISEP Participant Evaluation Form.
- You give permission for your official academic records/transcripts of work undertaken at your host institution to be sent to ISEP and in turn to your home institution.
- You give permission to ISEP to send to your parents or guardians any academic, medical or financial information deemed appropriate by the President of ISEP.
- Finally, you also agree that ISEP has the right to cancel or alter any placement or amend the conditions of participation should unforeseen circumstances make this advisable.
IF YOU WITHDRAW FROM ISEP
anytime after accepting placement, if your placement is terminated after you take up placement at your host institution, or if you return early, you agree that:
- You will still be obligated to pay the ISEP placement fee.
- You may still be obligated to pay the full program fee at the discretion of your home institution in collaboration and agreement with ISEP and your host institution.
- You will be obligated to pay any non-recoverable costs incurred by your host institution based on your acceptance.
- You will forfeit your right to receive benefits as an ISEP student and must reimburse your host institution for any money advanced to you to cover benefits beyond the date of your withdrawal, termination, or early return.
- You should also be aware that you may lose financial aid or scholarships due to loss of full-time student status.
- Students bound for the United States: The loss of full-time student status constitutes non-compliance with your student visa, necessitating your immediate departure from the United States.
YOUR PLACEMENT MAY BE TERMINATED
by ISEP or by Your Host Institution If:
- You fail to remain enrolled full time at your host institution.
- You fail to maintain minimum academic standards as defined by your home or host institution.
- You fail to meet any conditions of placement or acceptance.
- You are found by ISEP or the host institution to be in violation of laws or regulations of your host country or institution.
