| Last semester I studied at Radboud University in the Netherlands and had the time of my life. I greatly enjoyed getting to live in a new country and learn all I could about the Dutch culture. When people think of the Netherlands, they automatically picture wooden clogs and windmills. | ![]() |

While abroad I was able to travel around the small country and see different towns and areas. This included a trip to Kinderdijk where I got to see windmills that made the country famous. I was even able to go into an old windmill and see how they work and function. This was just one of the many things I learned while abroad. |
| The great thing about ISEP is that I was able to learn all about the Dutch cultures and customs. One thing I learned about the Dutch culture that I found interesting was their traditions involving Christmas. Turns out that their Santa is skinny and resembles the Pope. Also, instead of elves, Santa is has the help of 6-8 black men. It was fun to celebrate their Christmas traditions. | ![]() |

When I was studying abroad I met girl named Mette from Denmark who was also studying abroad at Radboud University the same time I was. Mette and I became great friends during our time together abroad. We had so much fun together including things like traveling to Texel island in the Netherlands and Belgium. |
| We also did things like karaoke with the other international students and paintball. I even went home with her to Denmark one weekend and got to experience the Danish culture. She is one of those people that I am sure I will be friends with for the rest of my life. | ![]() |
| Another memorable thing of my studying abroad experience was going to Munich Germany for Oktoberfest. Oktoberfest was one of those things I never ever thought I would ever have the chance to experience. It was amazing being able to go to such a famous festival in such a historic and beautiful city like Munich. I will always remember going there, especially the 15 hours we spent getting there by train. But it was so worth it. | |
| Studying abroad was one of the best decisions of my life. Going through ISEP where I didn’t know a single person in my host country or program helped me learn more about myself. I was forced to make new friends and learn things on my own. It was a great growing experience. I traveled by myself around Europe without any help. It is amazing to know now the things I can do and accomplish on my own. I am sad that my time abroad is over but I have so many wonderful memories to remember my time abroad. | ![]() |
