The University of Joensuu and the University of Kuopio recently merged to form the University of Eastern Finland (UEF), which now comprises three modern campuses in Joensuu, Kuopio, and Savonlinna. ISEP students have the opportunity to participate in exchanges at the Joenssu or Kuopio campuses during the Fall and Spring semesters. Learn more about the programs on these exciting campuses below.
UEF - Joensuu Featured Program
UEF enrolls a diverse range of over 13,000 students across three campuses and is now one of the most significant universities in Finland and among the leading 200 universities in the world.
ISEP participants have the opportunity to study in four strong faculties: the Philosophical Faculty, the Faculty of Science and Forestry, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies. Over 100 different major subjects as well as state-of-the-art research facilities and expert faculty members allow students to excel in almost any field, including natural sciences and new technologies, teacher training and education, European border areas and Russia, health sciences, molecular medicine, welfare research, and environmental research.
Students participating in ISEP exchanges are required to have completed at least one year of studies at their home universities before applying to study at UEF. Both campuses have a very good chance of placement.
