Courses taught in English
A wide selection of courses in Business, Economics, International Law, Law of European Integration, general Social sciences, , Communication, Swedish Language, Nursing, Education, Music, Social Work, Political science, Psychology, Biology/Ecology, Physics, and Mathematics are offered in English. Students pursue one course intensively for five to ten weeks and then take the exam for the course. After the examination you start with a new course during five or ten weeks. The courses are at the basic to advanced undergraduate levels, and are taken together with Swedish students. The courses offered are published every year in the ECTS Information Package, http://www.oru.se/templates/oruExtNormal____14254.aspx.

Courses for Graduate (Masters) Level
Orebro University offers several 2-years Master programs taught in English. It is possible to apply only for courses at the Master level. The courses are published in the ECTS Information Package together with the courses for under-graduate level. Academic Notes
For ISEP students with documented good knowledge of Swedish and the appropriate prerequisites, the whole range of courses offered by Orebro University is available.

Language Notes
Basic and intermediate courses in Swedish are usually offered each semester worth 7,5 ECTS credits. However, please note that this course may be cancelled if there are not enough participants.

Program Dates
Academic year: late August to early June; Semester 1: late August to mid-January; Semester 2: mid-January to early June.

Housing and Meals
ISEP students are housed on campus in student residence halls. Each student has a single-occupancy room with private bathroom. There are common cooking facilities. A stipend to cover the cost for meals is provided.

Student Activities
An Orientation Program arranged by ESN Orebro is included in the program cost. ESN Orebro is a student association that works closely with the staff at the international office to help integrating the exchange students into the Swedish way of life. ESN Orebro offer different social activities and trips throughout the whole semester. Those activities are not covered by the program cost.

Profile
Orebro University came into existence as a result of the 1977 higher education reform in Sweden. In 1999, Orebro University was granted full university status. The university takes an active part in the development of the region and is a national and international centre for knowledge. Furthermore, the external relation's office at Orebro University has strengthened contacts with industry and the community.

Facilities include four restaurants and cafeterias, and excellent sport facilities with a new workout centre. The library is a European Documentation Centre (EDC), which makes it an excellent source for information and research about the European Union. The Student Union is the natural meeting place for all students and is also the home of the student magazine. Campus activities include concerts, sports events and public lectures. Total enrollment is 12,300 students.

Location
Orebro University is situated in Almby, about 1.5 miles from the centre of Orebro. Surrounded by woods and fields, the campus also adjoins a Viking Age burial site.

Orebro, one of Sweden's major cities, has long been a dynamic region. Orebro has received awards for investment in the general environment and for the well-preserved historical city center-including the medieval castle-which is still fully in tune with modern day life. The downtown area has much to offer, including modern shopping centres, small stores, cinemas and art galleries, restaurants coffee shops and bars. There are abundant recreation facilities including both downhill and cross-country skiing in Kilsbergen, one of Europe's largest indoor swimming facilities at Gustavsvik, great mountain bike and running tracks, and year-round concerts and theatre performances. The Hjalmaren Lake offers small beaches and boat tours.
