As an ISEP Ambassador, there are many ways you can help out in your university’s study abroad office. Talk to your ISEP Coordinator to see if this is an option at your university and discuss ways that you can help.
Here are some examples:
- Peer Advising. Schedule a couple of regular hours each week to be in the study abroad office resource room. You will handle walk-in students who are interested in going abroad. Students who inquire about ISEP when you are not there can be referred to return during your regularly scheduled office hours.
- Special Projects. Use whatever talents and abilities you have to create a special project whether it is web or graphic design, marketing outreach, event planning, translation, photography, etc. Some students even incorporate a special project into a class project. It can be anything that interests you as long as it is for the benefit of ISEP students and you work in conjunction with your ISEP Coordinator.
- Administrative Assistance. You can help your ISEP coordinator with office projects such as data entry, filing, copying, mailings, making orientation packets, posting flyers, etc. This may not seem very exciting, but it can truly make a world of difference for your Coordinator, will help other students go abroad, and will be a great thing to include on your resume!
