Please note that Australia operates on the Southern Hemisphere academic calendar (Semester 1 = Feb-June; Semester 2 = July-Nov). Be sure your course requests are offered during the right semester.
Academic Notes
Semester students are required to take a full-time load of 48 RMIT credit points. This usually equates to four classes. Participants are eligible to undertake any class as long as course pre-requisites have been met. Creative classes (design, architecture, photography, multimedia) require students to submit a portfolio for course approval. A number of study tours (for academic credit) are also available during semester breaks.
RMIT recommends that study abroad students take the Social Science course, HUSO2105: Introduction to Australian Society. This course provides an overview of current and historical issues related to Australia and a chance for students to visit the Hamilton campus in Regional Victoria.

Language Notes
Students from non-native English-speaking countries must submit a minimum TOEFL score of 580 (237 CBT) or an IELTS score of 6.5.

Housing and Meals
Students live within easy walking distance of the city campus in single-occupancy, fully-furnished student apartment complexes. The ISEP-Direct program in Australia does not include meals.
ISEP-Direct
ISEP has developed the Australia-Direct program to provide students with competitively priced fee-paid study abroad options in Australia. The program is distinct from other ISEP-Direct programs; the program has its own application form and placement procedures. Some Australia-Direct institutions offer more than one fee based on different housing arrangements (tuition-only, tuition and single-room, tuition and shared-room). Meals are not included in the program. Students are also responsible for the application fee, travel costs and personal expenses. Location
The main RMIT campus is located in the Melbourne CBD. It is an urban campus surrounded by cafes, student restaurants and recreation facilities. Melbourne is a diverse, multicultural city with a great variety of entertainment, ranging from cultural events (Comedy, Film and Fashion festivals), sporting events (Formula 1, Australian Open Tennis) to fantastic live music and thumping all-night dance venues. RMIT also has campuses in Brunswick, Bundoora, Fishermans Bend, and Hamilton. Melbourne also offers a fantastic base to explore the surrounding State of Victoria.
