Housing and Meals
Students live in single rooms with shared facilities in on-campus student residences. Housing is not available for families or couples. The ISEP-Direct program in Australia does not include meals. Detailed information about the University Villages at the University of Canberra can be found on the following website: http://www.canberra.edu.au/residences.

Student Activities
The Study Abroad and Exchange Officer organises special trips for study abroad and exchange students. Seasonal trips may include learning how to surf, bicycling, rock climbing and trips to the wineries, and other events may be organised to tailor student's interests. More information can be found from the following website: http://www.canberra.edu.au/study-abroad/at-uc/intl-students/living-at-uc/activities.

Weekly events are organised to keep the campus humming as well as large annual events that attract huge crowds from all over the city and interstate.
- Market Days - Ressies Sport - Ressies Ball - Band Nights - Comedy Spectaculars - Recovery Day - Volunteering Opportunities - Stonefest (a weekend long music festival celebrated at the end of the academic year)

UC also has great sporting facilities, including a fully equipped gym and playing fields. UC organises countless clubs and societies which open their doors to new students each semester.

ISEP-Direct
ISEP has developed the Australia-Direct program to provide students with competitively priced fee-paid study abroad options in Australia. The program is distinct from other ISEP-Direct programs; the program has its own application form and placement procedures. Some Australia-Direct institutions offer more than one fee based on different housing arrangements (tuition-only, tuition and single-room, tuition and shared-room). Meals are not included in the program. Students are also responsible for the application fee, travel costs and personal expenses. Students selecting the tuition-only option are also responsible for the cost of housing. For more information go to ISEP-Direct Australia Fee page.

Profile
The University of Canberra (UC) is a highly regarded regional university located in Australia's capital city. With a current enrollment of approximately 10,000, UC is a vibrant campus, home to a close-knit community of local, interstate and international students.

Lectures are held in purpose-designed, modern lecture theatres fully equipped with multi-media facilities. For each lecture, students attend a tutorial (small, interactive study group supervised by a tutor) where they discuss the lecture and receive personal assistance from teaching staff.

Student welfare is a priority at UC, with facilities in place to assist students both academically and personally. The Students' Association also provides a wide range of social activities, clubs and societies to help students' involvement in campus life. Study abroad students have a dedicated student advisor in the International Office.

Location
The university campus is a quick walk to bars, restaurants, fresh food markets, supermarkets, movie theaters and a major shopping mall, and is only a short bus ride from Canberra's city center. The city's lively nightlife of pubs, clubs and live music rubs shoulders with national and local arts, culture and politics, and the city comes to life each year during its numerous festivals. Some of Australia's most important political and historical buildings and tourist attractions are located in Canberra. Bush land reserves, lakeshore and cycling/jogging trails are just moments away from the university for those craving the great outdoors.
