About New Jersey >>
Country Handbook >>
Located in the middle of the US’ Eastern Seaboard, The state of New Jersey has much to offer. Sandwiched in between Philadelphia and New York, two of the most exciting and vibrant cities in the US, one could say that New Jersey’s best attribute is it’s location. However, New Jersey has a diverse range of landscapes and lifestyles within a small area. Northern New Jersey is heavily forested, has many hiking trails and State parks, and enjoys an urban feel around the cities. Southern New Jersey is populated with farming lands, and has a peaceful, rural feel. New Jersey is perhaps most famous for the New Jersey seashore, which extends down most of the state’s eastern side. During the summer, the beaches are full, and the nightlife is bustling. Atlantic City, “The Las Vegas of the East coast”, is down by the Jersey shore, and is an active place all year. New Jersey’s weather ranges from cold winters to hot summers, with mild and pleasant springs and falls.
