Superb choice of embassy - what a great ambassador! Outstanding evening!
A welcome reception was held at the new Ambassador’s Residence on the grounds of the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington, D.C. to officially kick off the 2006 Biennial ISEP Conference. The modern architecture and angular lines of the Ambassador’s Residence was a perfect backdrop in which ISEP Board and Council members, coordinators, volunteers, staff and special guests could get acquainted.
Reception guests gathered at the front of the house for short speeches by Ambassador Urs Ziswiler and Dr. George M. Dennison, president of the University of Montana and ISEP Board chairman. The two men also exchanged gifts and kind remarks in front of the attentive crowd.
As the evening came to an end, reception attendees enjoyed their last hors d’oeuvres, finished their glasses of wine, and returned to their hotel rooms in anticipation of the next day’s conference events.
ISEP expresses its appreciation to the Ambassador and the Embassy of Switzerland for generously opening the Residence for the welcome reception.
