PRE-CONFERENCE Coordinator Workshops

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The New Coordinator Pre-conference Workshop is an essential event for coordinators, advisors, and new members who have joined ISEP in the last year. ISEP Staff and experienced member university Coordinators will guide participants through the basics of our programs and procedures, and explore ways in which we can work together to enhance students’ chances of placement and help them make the most of their ISEP experience. We look forward to welcoming you!
Topics to be covered during the 7-hour interactive workshop include:
- An overview of the annual cycle at ISEP Central
- Utilizing ISEP online and printed resources
- Tips for recruiting and advising
- Application and placement procedures
- Orientation for outgoing and incoming students
- Small group discussions and Question/Answer session
During the final portion of the workshop, ISEP Program Officers will conduct a “Mock Placement.” During this role-play, Coordinators will step into the shoes of a Program Officer to get an understanding of how ISEP manages applications and places students appropriately.

As this is a pre-conference workshop, an additional $125 registration fee ($150 after October 6) will be charged. This fee includes a light continental breakfast, lunch, coffee breaks and printed materials. Coordinators can register for this workshop on their conference registration form. Pre-registration is strongly recommended to ensure adequate facility set-up and sufficient printed materials.
