In light of all that we do together, ISEP’s conference helped me

Building on this comment, ISEP is pleased to announce that the theme of our November 20-22, 2008 biennial conference is: One Door, Many Windows: The ISEP Network Connects You to the World.
We encourage you to put this meeting on your calendar, to invite associates from your institution to join you, and to submit ideas and proposals for sessions and roundtable discussions.
ISEP's conference gives you the opportunity to explore how you can utilize our 290-member network to meet the new realities and challenges that face international educators. This event draws nearly even numbers of international and U.S. participants, offering unique networking opportunities.
Plenaries will focus on topics such as:
Quality and quantity of collaborative activities: how human attitudes and cross-cultural knowledge enhanced by technology and new forms of communication affect successful outcomes.
Measuring the commitment of universities to internationalization: best practices and measurement tools.
News from post-election Washington: What are some of the foreign policy challenges and choices facing the next U.S. administration and how might responses to these affect international education?
Panel sessions and roundtable discussions on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22 will address topics of interest to experienced international education administrators and institutional leaders as well as provide practical tools for managing ISEP programs.
Pre-conference workshop on Thursday, November 20: ISEP staff and experienced university Coordinators will offer an all-day pre-conference workshop for new ISEP coordinators to review current procedures and share lessons learned.
Other highlights of the conference include member fairs in a new format, an embassy reception, meals, an optional Washington After Dark Tour, and multiple opportunities to network.
