ISEP Strategic Plan 2007 – 2012

Strategic Goal I:  Promote and advance ISEP’s leadership in international education cooperation.

1.1       Promote the value of the ISEP Network as an effective avenue for international
cooperation among higher education institutions and as a resource for student mobility and campus internationalization.
1.2       Develop and implement programs andservices in support of the internationalization of member institutions.
1.3       Promote the value of the ISEP Experience in achieving authentic global learning.   

Strategic Goal II:  Build and sustain an active worldwide membership committed to ISEP’s vision, mission, values and goals.

2.1       Develop and sustain worldwide membership with emphasis on emerging countries and regions. 
2.2       Enhance global student mobility for/among international members.
2.3       Uphold and promote ISEP standards of membership, participation and good practice in internationalization.
2.4       Bring members together to strengthen communications within the network and to enhance common understanding of best practices in international educational exchange.    

Strategic Goal III:  Expand access to affordable programs and diverse options for global learning experiences.

3.1       Develop and sustain a well-balanced portfolio of innovative study programs.
3.2       Promote authentic high-quality student learning experiences.
3.3       Achieve annual targets for participation in all ISEP programs.
3.6       Increase participation of under-represented populations in ISEP programs. 
3.7       Strengthen and maintain strong support services.
3.8       Develop programs and services to support the internationalization of faculty. 

Strategic Goal IV:  Develop and sustain core management systems and resources to ensure a sound and dynamic organization.

4.1       Marketing and Communications: Strengthen and maintain strong communication links with ISEP members and the international education community. 
4.2       Technology:  Expand the use of technology to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency, disseminate information and strengthen member services.
4.3       Finance:
4.3.1    Develop and sustain an operational reserve equal to six months of operating expenses.
4.3.2    Develop private funding for scholarships, organizational development and new initiatives.
4.5       ISEP Management Systems:  Strengthen and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of all aspects of program development and administration.
