The Language of Style, Italian Language and Culture in Milan, Italy
SUMMER SNAPSHOT
Milan is known as one of the world capitals of fashion and also hosts a wealth of monuments, palaces, churches, and museums. This summer program gives students the opportunity to study its culture and take Italian language classes.Classroom topics include Italian industries and their impact on the social fabric (fashion & design, media, and the issue of gender) as well as Italian film.

PROGRAM TYPE
ISEP-Direct Summer for all ISEP member students 
COURSES
This summer program offers 60 hours of language instruction (40 hours of intensive instruction in the first two weeks plus 20 hours of instruction in the last two weeks) in addition to 40 hours of culture-based instruction in English.
Grades are based on attendance, homework, participation, and the final exam.
SPECIAL ACADEMIC CONDITIONS
Undergraduate and graduate students who have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies and have a 3.0 GPA or higher (or the equivalent) are eligible.
Students requesting admission to the Italian Language and Culture Program must take an online language proficiency test before arrival. Applicants will be given instructions upon admission on how to proceed with the online testing.

HOUSING AND MEALS
Students live in shared apartments off campus. Meals are not included, but Milan has many fine cafés and restaurants.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES
The course includes fieldtrips within the city of Milan. Students also have the opportunity to visit various places in the region of Lombardy.
